Costume Designer and Stylist Hala Bahmet launched her design career while still a college student working at the Guthrie Theater and at Paisley Park Studios working for Prince.

Prior to her work on This Is Us, Hala received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Costume Design on American Crime Story: The People VS OJ Simpson. Hala also designed the costumes for the pilot episodes of Young Sheldon and Riverdale. Her feature films include the futuristic Purge: Anarchy, the period 1890s thriller Sweetwater aka Sweet Vengeance (Ed Harris, January Jones, Jason Isaacs), Famke Janssen’s directorial debut Bringing Up Bobby (Mila Jovovich), period 1950s drama The Prizewinner of Defiance Ohio (Julianne Moore, Laura Dern), and the award winning House of Sand and Fog.

In addition to her costume design work Hala was the Co-Founder and Creative Director of eco-fashion label Viridis Luxe, which was available in over 200 stores internationally. Her sustainable textile designs have been featured in over 50 publications including several notable art/fashion/design books in the US and abroad.

Currently living in Los Angeles, Hala’s costume and fashion designs can be seen in films, on television, and on the red carpet.
